Two years ago, we wrote about 1-800-Got-Junk, a Canadian company that's billed as 'North America's Largest Junk Removal Company'. That same year, a similar service launched in London, and business is now really starting to take off. Any Junk? aims to bring professionalism and customer service to rubbish removal in the United Kingdom.
The concept is simple: Any Junk takes care of clearing houses, offices and gardens. Customers call them, they come over with a big truck and remove the rubbish. Like 1-800-Got-Junk, Any Junk's selling point is being completely customer focused. Booking is easy, trucks are shiny, removal teams are punctual, friendly and polite, and they clean up after themselves when they're done. Exactly the type of service that consumers expect, but rarely get.
Any Junk also added a reuse and recycle twist; some removed items are donated to charity, and others are resold via eBay and auctioning4u, creating an extra stream of income. Along with residential users, Any Junk's clients include organisations such as University of London, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Thames Housing Association.
The company is actively seeking franchisees to bring Any Junk to the rest of the U.K. Springwise is certain that this concept would work well in the rest of Europe, too, and urges creative entrepreneurs to find and transform other mundane service industries into bright beacons of 'how it should be done'.

A value-add idea for any would-be franchise owner would be to link with the services of a professional organizer - someone to help clients clear their homes first before the truck arrives to take it all away.
I used to work for got-junk months ago. They gouged their customers and ripped off their employees. Minus that part of the business model, I think that it would work well.
I own my own hauling business now, and am in competition with my former employer. I wont forget the strengths and weaknesses of the business model set up and hope that anyjunk will avoid such practices.
cheers...
Can you pass MillenniumMan email address please on to me, Im in the same business as he is and want to discuss the wait and load trade
