A match-making app for hospitality industry

The Supp platform matches highly-skilled hospitality workers with employers
Spotted: Australian app Supp promises to alleviate two major headaches for the hospitality industry: shift schedules and fair pay. The app calls itself the “evolution of hospitality shift-work.”
The Supp platform (think LinkedIn meets Tinder) matches highly-skilled hospitality workers with employers. Supp targets “Gen-Z” workers who want more control over their work schedules, the company said. It also aims to help businesses resolve staffing shortages. The app allows managers to post jobs and find skilled workers to fill shifts at short notice.
The platform is also based on transparent pricing. It only accepts jobs that pay reasonable rates. It aims to end “black market” cash payments that exploit workers.
Supp is already available in Melbourne. Over 1000 workers and 200 businesses are using the platform. The app is planning on expanding to Sydney and other locations in Australia this year. It was selected among the first cohort of Block Engine, Melbourne’s first blockchain incubator programme.
