Subscription-based, sustainable waste-management for businesses

Spotted: Waste-management and data analytics startup RecyGlo provides environmentally-friendly recycling solutions to enterprises in Myanmar and Malaysia. Services consist of initial waste audit, waste segregation and awareness training, setting up segregation bins, scheduling pick-up and waste collection, waste characteristics and analysis, and transportation to recycling plants.

The firm has also developed a waste-management and analytics platform, which according to co-founder Ko Okka Phyo Maung, achieves a recycling rate of more than 98 per cent and reduces administrative costs.

While over 90 per cent of the company’s revenue currently comes from B2B services, they are also working with developers to scale the businesses to individual consumers and households.

The company is in advanced stages of raising a €500,000 investment round, and hopes the investment round will enable them to expand into new markets such as Indonesia, Singapore and Cambodia.
