First digital recycling compliance management platform for e-commerce

Ecosistant digitises all compliance management-related tasks to save time and costs

Spotted:  Ecosistant, a Berlin-based consulting agency for recycling compliance, has launched a platform enabling online retailers to perform EU-wide packaging licensing digitally. An algorithm-based process makes it swift and simple to fulfil packaging compliance obligations, with greater financial appeal compared to conventional CSR consultants. The development is led by company founders Andreas Landes and Johannes Kohlmann.

First, customers input data on their business activity and target markets. The algorithm then generates a guide containing all necessary information about relevant recycling laws, amendments and institutions for up to 30 European countries. Updates are also provided, ensuring online shops always stay legally compliant across all EU member states. Users also receive notifications of any pending tasks or deadlines.

An annual or multi-year subscription package can be purchased, with the option of upgrading and receiving a personal Ecosistant account manager to handle all operational tasks. This covers registering and liaising with recycling schemes and periodically providing mandatory declarations of packaging quantities.
