The climate activist’s words become a powerful refrain in the musician’s “Right here, right now” mix.
Spotted English DJ Fat Boy Slim has remixed a 1998 hit to include the words of climate activist Greta Thunberg. Thunberg used the name of one of Fat Boy Slim’s hit “Right here, right now” in her searing speech to the UN in September.
“We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line,” she says. The climate activist also used her tribune at the UN to call on celebrities to use their influence for good.
The remix underscores the urgency of Thunberg’s call for action on climate change. The clip was first published on social media in September. Thunberg’s words were combined with the song and images of climate change, such as melting icebergs and Amazonian fires.
Fat Boy Slim played the song, including Thunberg’s words of warning, at a live show in Gateshead, U.K.
