Lock&Charge enables businesses in the tourism industry and beyond to build app-activated e-bikes.
With city centers often suffering from traffic congestion, car hiring is not always a fun option for tourists. Italy-based Lock&Charge enables companies from the tourism industry and beyond to easily establish an e-bike infrastructure, so to enhance their customers’ experiences.
Lock&Charge is building a fleet of lightweight e-bikes and charging stations. Businesses can order cargo bikes for their employees to use for transporting goods, and hotels can order foldable bikes for guests. Lock&Charge bikes are secured and charged via hubs that are unlocked using an app. The app also keeps track of bikes, allowing users to track them down when exploring. Lock&Charge have manufactured secure locks to keep bikes safe wherever users leave them, and their systems have also been designed to fit preexisting e-bikes and other small e-vehicles such as scooters.
The ability to quickly build e-bike fleets could add extra dimensions to tourist experiences and community programs, as well as easing traffic congestion and providing alternatives to cars and other polluting transport. What other companies could benefit from this service?
