The modular suites are made of recycled and eco-friendly materials and include rooftop solar panels
Spotted: Moliving Inc. is a nomadic hospitality company that equips boutique hotels with fully furnished, environmentally friendly modular suites. The company’s latest rendering is a set of luxury hotel rooms on wheels.
For this, the company partnered with modular fabricator SG Blocks, using recycled and eco-friendly materials to make the structure. The rooms are also made to be environmentally friendly, with rooftop solar panels that provide power and minimise the carbon footprint.
“Lifestyle habits and travel behaviours have greatly shifted. We are spearheading the change with our mobile units and proprietary technology to continue to adapt,” said Moliving Inc.’s Founder and CEO, Jordan Bem in a press release.
Each room is 13.7 metres long, offering around 37 sq. metres of luxury space. The interior is fitted with wooden features, containing separate living and sleeping areas and an ensuite bathroom. The bedroom is equipped with a modular bed that can transform from a king to two twins, accommodating the clients. Embedded technology includes a Samsung 55” Smart TV, a Devialet Wireless Speaker, USB ports, a safe, mini bar, remote-controlled shades and Wi-Fi, according to Cool Material.
The first partnership is with Hurley House, which will install the units in the Hudson Valley region of upstate New York. Future plans for expansion include building along the east coast; with locations in California, Colorado and Nevada. Possible international offerings may also arise in sun-filled popular European tourist destinations such as France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
