The programme is interactive and allows viewers to ask questions in online chats and receive answers in real-time
Spotted: Chinese co-living company Danke has developed a novel way to interest potential customers. The company has launched a live-streamed programme, called Danke Roast, with a sitcom format. The goal of the programme is to provide information to potential and current users of the platform.
The programme is interactive and allows viewers to ask questions in online chats and receive answers in real-time. Popular topics include apartment subleases and rent financing. Viewers can also participate in cash and gift giveaways on the show. The first Danke Roast was live-streamed in June and had 9,000 viewers and more than 17,000 playbacks, and the company is planning to make the live-stream a regular series.
Guangjing He, Danke’s Head of Branding & PR explained that, “The most direct way to address a problem is to face it. We took that approach with Danke Roast to put all of the misunderstandings and challenges related to our industry on the table, to discuss them with others directly and transparently. Things can be demystified once people talk through them. It can help people see that things may be quite different from what they had thought.”
Danke is just the latest company to make use of live-streaming platforms. Other recent examples covered here at Springwise include new product launches and fashion shows during the COVID-19 pandemic.
