Protective street furniture creates safer pedestrian areas

The colourful, curvy designs brighten up public spaces while keeping people safe from vehicles

Spotted:  Landscaping experts Marshalls have recently introduced their latest range of protective street furniture. The RhinoGuard Kirkos line is as tough as the name suggests. The new designs are available in five different shapes and three different colours and all incorporate a central bollard for added strength. At maximum capacity, the furniture can stop a 7.5-tonne vehicle that is travelling up to 50 miles per hour. 

Two of the new pieces include a planter, and the curvy seats are available in three different designs. The new line can be retrofitted as an addition to an area’s current furniture, providing an extra injection of colour and seating spaces. Marshalls also provides a range of materials for securing the furniture in place and for further landscaping options.
