A Note from Re_Set Co-founder and Chair of Springwise, James Bidwell

I am delighted to announce that I will be participating in a panel discussion on Campaigning for Change at this year’s edie Sustainability Leaders Forum, which begins on 2 February. I am equally delighted that Re_Set has been shortlisted for Consultancy of the Year at the edie Sustainability Leaders Awards. Taking place over three days with 60+ speakers, the event will connect over 600 sustainable business leaders, government representatives, investors and NGOs around a common goal: to solve the climate crisis. 

With the emergence from lockdown, the approach of COP 26 and sustainability, at last, going mainstream, never has the collective desire and enthusiasm to drive positive, sustainable change been more palpable. I believe that every business must acknowledge its responsibility towards creating a better future. In my upcoming panel, I will be discussing the role of business in activating that change, using real examples from our Re_Set strategy work, as well as providing valuable tips for participants on how to make their brands more activist. I will also be highlighting the latest innovative ideas in sustainability, sourced from our incredible global innovation network at Springwise.

As ever, I have been bowled over by the sheer volume, quality and ingenuity of innovators from around the world, from a Californian startup designing a waste bin that can remove the problem of contamination from home waste recycling to a Jordanian brother and sister who have created a sustainable, recyclable children’s toy. There is no doubt that change is in the wind. Even the smallest businesses can harness people and capital to drive this momentum!
