Food delivery service takes orders for 365 days into the future

Palo Alto-based Fluc is helping businesses plan their food takeouts from any chain up to a year in advance.
While startups like Caviar are helping to unlock high quality restaurant menus for takeaway in San Francisco, another venture is focusing on another aspect of food delivery in the area. Palo Alto-based Fluc is helping businesses plan their food takeouts from any chain up to a year in advance.
Fluc takes advantage of a team of drivers who travel to pick up and then deliver users’ orders, typically within 45 minutes. Since the startup simply replaces the customer in its interactions with restaurants, food businesses don’t have to set up a partnership or implement changes to work with Fluc. In fact, businesses often find that Fluc already includes their menu within its app. This setup means that users can order from almost any local venue, regardless if it offers a delivery option itself. Through the app, users can track their delivery in real time, pay online and even create advance orders for any point in the next 12 months. Scheduled orders can then be managed and edited inside the app, meaning businesses can plan their bulk orders and regular deliveries well in advance of actually receiving them.
Fluc currently only delivers to Palo Alto, Melo Park, San Francisco and Mountain View. Could a similar service work in your part of the world?
