Global vacation takes in famous scenes from art history
Travel & Tourism
The Art Lovers Dream Trip is a one-off world tour that visits locations immortalized in famous works of art.
Regular readers of Springwise may remember VeryFirstTo from our recent coverage of their collaboration with A2B Bikes, which sent one couple on a guided e-bike tour of 12 world cities. Now the luxury magazine is returning with The Art Lovers Dream Trip, another one-off world tour that visits locations immortalized in famous works of art.
Created in conjunction with boutique scarf brand Babooshka Boo, the month-long holiday enables travelers to take in 12 different sites where artists ranging from Monet to Hokusai were inspired to create art. The vacation stops at Garrowby Hill in Yorkshire, England — the setting of a famous David Hockney piece — as well as the Church In Cassone that Gustav Klimt painted while on holiday in Italy with his lover Emilie Klöge. Demonstrating the country’s impact on the art world, the tour also includes trips to five French locations, such as the Mountains Sainte Victoire painted by Cézanne and Seurat’s The Island Of La Grande Jatte. Each location can be visited in an order decided by the travelers, who also receive six Babooshka Boo scarves retailing between GBP 100 and GBP 250 each. A GBP 1,000 donation is also made to The Prince’s Trust as part of the price of the trip, which costs GBP 71,000 per couple.
The Art Lovers Dream Trip provides a unique way to see some of the world’s most beautiful locations, giving travelers insight into the mind’s of the artists that made them famous. Are their other themed luxury trips that can give those who can afford it a trip like no other?
