Scooter startup bets on multichannel campaign to engage riders
Advertising & Marketing
The campaign is a bid to highlight Lime scooter's inclusivity and encourage scooters as alternative forms of transport.
Spotted: US-based startup, Lime, has created a multichannel campaign to bolster interest in their scooters and to raise awareness about the benefits of scooters in LA. The multichannel campaign uses a variety of platforms, including local artists, writers and influencers, to promote scooter riding as a better experience than driving cars, and the reason to use them in LA.
The “See You There” campaign underscores how scooters can build community. It uses digital advertising, as well as live events (out-of-home ads), to build community and inclusivity. One event featured a pop-up store with a local artist who promotes foodbanks and soon, the company will partner with a community activist to host an event on inclusion and equality.
Lime has also released a guidebook to LA neighbourhoods, created by local artists. The campaign includes a series of “See you there” billboards, which encourage LA residents to swap out their cars for scooters.
