Social activism platform connects campaigners and supporters

The app supports skill and resource sharing and champions partnerships between social justice advocates

Spotted: A traumatic family experience early in life shaped CommunityX founder Chloë Rogers’ desire to find a way to sustain movements for social change. CommunityX is a mobile app designed explicitly for supporting and creating meaningful improvements across society. Activists and supporters sign up to the platform, create a social impact profile and then connect with others with shared interests.

Finding means for promulgating the momentum built by protests is one of the platform’s central goals. Rather than allow pressure on governments and businesses to subside, CommunityX amplifies the strength of citizens’ beliefs, regardless of their location in the world.

In an increasingly interconnected world, companies with global audiences must necessarily consider and frequently act upon a greater diversity of issues and opinions. CommunityX aims to take the current impetus for change and ensure that it doesn’t languish as a moment, instead of becoming a long-term movement towards lasting, meaningful social improvement.

Other innovations spotted by Springwise that are part of a broader campaign for inclusivity include an ad-buying platform that supports LGBTQ publications and content and an ad designed to reduce menstrual shame.
