The British sustainable lifestyle brand aims to create easy to adopt, usable and stylish alternatives to single-use plastic
Spotted: The British sustainable lifestyle brand Wild & Stone has partnered with a London-based digital investment platform to launch an equity crowdfunding campaign.
Wild & Stone is an eco-lux product company that aims to create easy to adopt, usable and stylish alternatives to single-use plastic. According to the company, their products have been consciously sourced and created to create minimal social and environmental impact.
Kathryn Jonas founded the company three years ago after she bought a plastic toothbrush for her daughter. “I was part of the problem. I knew there had to be other options, and after doing a bit of research I found some, but I couldn’t find designs that I liked and wanted to have around my home. As a devotee to the Marie Kondo theory, I believe that ‘less is more’, and that the items you do own should be things that you truly like and ‘spark joy’,” she said.
Currently, there are a total of 86 products. Product ranges include Household, On-The-Go environmentally friendly items, oral care, health and beauty and even a collection for the little ones to cater to the whole family. All products are ethically sourced, sustainably produced and CO2 neutral. The brand plans to introduce over 30 new products in 2021.
Kathryn Jonas, the founder of Wild & Stone, told Springwise “We have already prevented 100,000 plastic items from being purchased and then sent to landfills across the world. It feels incredible to know we’ve left this world a little bit better off than before, but there is so much more work to be done.”
The brand also supports the Marine Conservation Society. For every order on their website, Wild & Stone donates 10p, matching each customer donation up to £5. So far, they have raised £3,306 for the charity.
This year, Wild & Stone have already added 90 new wholesalers, 5 global marketplaces (eBay, ETSY, NOTHS, Wayfair & OnBuy) and opened 5 additional Amazon markets (North America, Canada, Australia, Singapore & Mexico).
Having sold 100,000 products so far, the team eagerly awaits their next stage of growth and are looking for backers to “join them to create a healthier planet for future generations”, they told Springwise. New funds will be used to develop sales and marketing resources to support future growth.
Pre-registration is now open.
