Work & Lifestyle
UK-based My Lovely Parent sets itself apart from other dating sites by giving adult children a way to help their divorced or widowed older parents find new love online.
With all the matchmaking sites we’ve covered over the years, we thought we had already seen every possibility. Then we came across UK-based My Lovely Parent, which sets itself apart by giving adult children a way to help their divorced or widowed parents find new love online.
Users of My Lovely Parent, which was created by two brothers with “a very lovely single mum in her 60s,” begin by signing up on the site and creating a profile for their single, over-50 parent. They then browse for potential matches, and recommend any likely candidates to their parent; an email is automatically sent with information about those potential matches and a link to the site. From there, it’s up to the singles themselves whether or not to forge any offline connections. The video below explains the premise in more detail:
Now in beta, My Lovely Parent is scheduled to launch next month. Time to set up something similar for the older lonelyhearts in your part of the world?
