Shopping outsourcing platform enables users to get cheaper international goods

ShopandBox enables online shoppers to task those living abroad with gathering various foreign items and consolidating them into one delivery to cut costs.

There are some products that are either cheaper, or only available in other countries, and to import them often comes with hefty charges that cancel out any potential discounts. While subscription services such as Try The World have already enabled members to get their hands on products from exotic locations, now ShopandBox enables online shoppers to task those living abroad with gathering various foreign items and consolidating them into one delivery.

ShopandBox users first complete their Wishlist, entering in the details — make, model, version, size, etc — of any items they’re looking to buy. Items available from Amazon can simply be dragged and dropped into the Wishlist. Alternatively, the homepage includes some of the site’s most popular ordered products — all from third party vendors. After placing goods in their basket, members are matched with one of a global network of Boxer Buddies who will be arranging the order. Shoppers can send messages to their Buddy to finalize details of the order and pay. After that, the Buddy will procure all of the items and box them up once they’re all delivered. Members simply pay one international shipping fee for all of their goods, saving money in the process.
