Worksurfers hopes to aid creatives in finding employment while they are on the move.
Many people dream of being able to see the world, but find they’re tied down to a job in a particular location. Now a new site called Worksurfers is hoping to aid creatives in finding employment while they are on the move.
Based in Colombia, the site hosts information about short-term assignments that can be applied for by those with talent in the creative industries. Workers can find jobs based on location, type of job and when they are available – enabling them to continue funding their travels, gain valuable work experience and keep honing their skills. Companies posting positions on the other hand can gain from an international perspective and find new talent they otherwise might not have access to.
Currently in private beta, Worksurfers is offering a 15 percent discount on premium services for early adopters. Could this type of geographically open job marketplace benefit your industry?
