The service enabling patients to reduce their waiting time for ER treatment — by calling ahead or signing in online — has now partnered with over 100 ER locations across the US. It has also expanded to accomodate other kinds of health services with wait times, and has altered the business model to make InQuickER registration free to patients. The tricycle that had been adapted to function as a mobile library, distributing books to disadvantaged areas in Brazil, was stolen late last year. However, R 12,000 was subsequently raised on www.movere.me to purchase and adapt a new tricycle. During funding, the old bike was discovered in a badly damaged state, and the funds were then directed towards its reconstruction and the continued operation of the project. The biodegradable shoe company recently brought out a new ‘Limited Skin Collection’ — a series of sneakers made from colorful leathers developed by Royal Hulshof Tanneries.
