Sustainable home furniture can be put together in 60 Seconds
Architecture & Design
Created with tiny home and move-it-yourself dwellers in mind, the collection is designed to be easily built and dismantled just as swiftly
Spotted: Brooklyn-based design and fabrication firm A05 Studio is in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign for their newly designed click-together furniture.
Hoek is designed to be assembled in roughly 60 seconds, with no tools required. Once the Hoek flat-packed furniture is delivered, all that’s required is to unclip the legs from underneath the chassis, and then click them into place.
Hoek is designed to be easily broken down. If you’re working from home, need to exercise, are having guests over or just want some extra space, it can be easily dismantled and stored under a sofa, bed, etc. During the breakdown of a piece of furniture, the legs can be clicked back into their storage compartment in the chassis, once removed from the joint.
The collection is made from post-consumer, recycled HDPE plastic. The HDPE can also be reused, so if the user wants to redecorate, they can send the pieces back to be recycled into new furniture.
