Travel site offers startup tours in Bangalore, India
Work & Lifestyle
ExploreLifeTravel is hosting startup tours in Bangalore to provide traveling entrepreneurs insight into local business environments.
We’ve already seen a design museum for Mumbai’s slum entrepreneurs, which connects local makers with clients to promote positive change. Now, ExploreLifeTravel, an Airbnb-style platform for travelers to India, is making tours of local startups a part of its service.
ExploreLifeTraveling is offering travelers a one day coach tour of four startups in Bangalore. The experience is free of charge to interested entrepreneurs who want to gain an insight into the innovation climate in Karnataka’s state capital. One of the locations visited is ExploreLifeTraveling’s own Startup House, which also serves as a hub for new entrepreneurs wishing to visit the city. Participants would spend an hour at each startup — 15 minutes for touring the startup offices, 15 minutes for interaction with founders, and 30 minutes for Q & A. The tours provide entertainment for tourists or visitors as well as useful marketing for the startups involved.
ExploreLifeTraveling’s accommodation aggregation site is all about providing authentic homestays, so travelers can experience not just a local bed and breakfast, but learn about local cultures through their host too. Food for thought for startup-dense neighborhoods seeking greater publicity?
