Adult teether

EZ Teether is an adult teething device designed to ease the pain of wisdom teeth.

Toys and devices to help young children ease the pain of teething have existed for decades. Now, a 21 year old University of Sheffield dentistry student has invented the EZ Teether, the world’s first adult teether.

The rubber device was created to combat the pain of wisdom teeth. Dental student, Jeevan Boyal, came up with the idea at university, “Wisdom teeth can be very painful when they cut through the gums. In my own case I was 19 when they began to come through and I was in absolute agony.” Boyal designed the object based on angles for the jaw. It measures 11cm long with a plastic handle and a phthalate free natural rubber biting surface. The action of biting down on the device’s rubber surface is supposed to ease the suffering. EZ Teether is now a trademarked product and retails at GBP 9.99.
