Anti-aging products personalized with customers’ stem cells

Created by Personal Cell Services, U Autologous is an anti-aging skincare range that incorporates each customers' own stem cells.

We’ve already seen French beauty company Codage enable people to personalize products by choosing their own ingredients, but our latest spotting goes even further in its aim to individualize cosmetics. Created by Personal Cell Services, U Autologous is an anti-aging skincare range that incorporates each customers’ own stem cells. Personal Cell Services founder and CEO John Arnone also created the American CryoStem Corporation, which developed a technique for processing fat from the stomach and filtering out stem cells, which are used by the body to repair tissue. The company aims to collect these cells from customers at a young age through liposuction, with the aim of cryogenically storing them for future use. Each U Autologous customer will be able to purchase a product that contains a sample of their own stem cells, mixed with more traditional anti-aging ingredients. Because the cells are stored and regenerated, the individual can reorder their individualized products as many times as they like. With ongoing research into the possibilities of stem cells, storing them could also be beneficial in the case of emerging innovation or therapies that utilize the technology in the future. Personal Cell Services notes that there are other companies on the market claiming to use stem cells in their cosmetics, but U Autologous is the first to take samples from the customers themselves. Does technology like this represent the future of the skin care industry?
