QuickerFeet is a mobile app that delivers the latest deals from local retailers in real time, direct to consumers' phones.
No end in sight to the variations on the daily deals theme! Just in the past few weeks we’ve looked at efforts that scour the web for personally relevant deals and that customize the process for the stores offering the deals. Now, borrowing a bit of both concepts, there’s Australian QuickerFeet, a mobile app that delivers the latest deals from local retailers in real time, direct to consumers’ phones. Deal-minded consumers begin by downloading the free QuickerFeet app, which is available for the iPhone. They can also indicate which retailers they’re interested in hearing from. Local bricks-and-mortar stores, meanwhile, post specials whenever they want to boost in-store traffic or advertise a new promotion, for example, and QuickerFeet broadcasts them via the app to interested users’ phones. Whenever they see one they like, consumers can use the app to view a map with directions to the store and be first in line to take advantage of the daily special — no coupons or “check-ins” are required. Business pricing varies from AUD 5 to AUD 15 per post, depending on quantities purchased. The video below demonstrates the service in action: The brainchild of Creative Licence Australia Pty Ltd., QuickerFeet currently serves only Australian retailers and consumers. One to partner with or emulate in your neck of the woods?
