With just a screenshot of the online products they're interested in, SnapUp helps mobile shoppers organize their wanted items and automatically lets them know when they're on sale.
Consumers often come across items they’d like to buy, but don’t necessarily have the money for them right at that moment or feel they may be able to get a better deal elsewhere. Apps such as PowaTag have already enabled users to scan any real-world object and find an e-retailer to buy it from, and now SnapUp helps mobile shoppers automatically organize the online products they’re interested in with just a screenshot, and lets them know when they go on sale.
The app works with around 1,000 online retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy and Target. Users simply take a screenshot of the products they like while they’re browsing and SnapUp instantly adds it to their own interactive shopping list. As well as pulling in information about current price and specs, the app lets users easily organize their bookmarked products into themed lists. It also monitors their price over time, and provides alerts to ensure shoppers don’t miss a bargain. When it comes time to buy, users can do so with one click, straight from the app.

Available for free on the App Store, SnapUp offers an easy way to keep tabs on product prices over time. Eventually, the team want to add price comparison and real-time local stock availability data as features. Are there other ways to make digital window shopping more productive for consumers and retailers?
