Hippo uses natural language processing to create nudges out of SMS notes, and programs them to send at the appropriate time.
We have already seen a platform enable management to keep on top of facts and personal details about their employees, and now Hippo offers similar services for everyone else via a digital reminder tool. The mobile service acts as a digital personal assistant, filing away all the information that is inputted and providing reminders when they are needed.
To begin, users sign up to the subscription-only service. Then, whenever they need to take note of something, they text it to Hippo. It can be birthdays, arrangements, personal details about acquaintances or even just random thoughts. Then, Hippo uses natural language processing to create nudges out of the notes, and programs them to send at the appropriate time. For example, if the user sends an SMS to Hippo saying it is their assistant’s daughter’s birthday on Wednesday, Hippo will create a nudge for that day, with that reminder. Users can also program their own regular nudges by adding once, weekly or yearly into their messages. Additionally, users can search their Hippo account by word to find past notes.
Hippo is currently inviting people to join their waiting list. The service costs USD 5 per month. What other tasks could be simplified through natural language processing?
