Caarbon is a personal, on-demand valet service

Caarbon enables drivers to safely store their car by summoning a valet service to any location through their smartphone.

Drivers in any reasonably-sized city know that parking can be an absolute nightmare, whether it’s difficulty finding a spot, trying to avoid fines or even just the walk through dank, gloomy parking lots. While apps such as Fixed have aimed to make parking tickets less of a worry for motorists in San Francisco, a new startup called Caarbon is now enabling drivers to safely store their car by summoning a valet service to any location through their smartphone.

Developed by a team coming out of Silicon Valley-based startup accelerator Tandem, the app lets anyone hire a valet for any duration at a fixed rate of USD 6 an hour. Users simply let the company know where they’re heading and what time they’ll be there. A valet will meet them at the location and take over driving, dropping off customers right outside their destination if a touch of style is necessary. Caarbon then stores the car safely in its secure lot until the customer uses the app to let them know they’re ready to pick up their car.

Caarbon is currently taking on its first customers via invite only, with plans to slowly roll out across the San Francisco area. Are there other luxury services that could be made more affordable for regular consumers?
