Trntbl is an IoT record player, which offers social and digital features based around a tactile interface.
Vinyl sales are seeing a triumphant resurgence, and though music streaming services have their advantages, there is no doubt that many music lovers still crave the tactile listening experiences of the analogue. Trntbl, from vinyl subscription service Vnyl, aims to bridge the gap by offering a connected, wireless music player in the form of a beautiful record player, which offers social and digital features based around a tactile interface.
Trntbl is an Internet of Things record player with wireless audio streaming and social music sharing features. To use, vinyl collectors play their record on the device as usual. The connected turntable can identify the music it is playing, and share the activity online via Spotify. Listeners can also create digital playlists by playing their physical records and even invite friends to tune in remotely. Users can play their records as uncompressed audio through any Sonos device too.
The Trntbl comes in creme and gold or black and gold, and is currently available to pre-order for USD 351. It is expected to ship this summer. What other entertainment devices could be added to the Internet of Things?
