A foldable, zippable compact hiking shoe

The Radler Trail Camp shoe can be folded in half and zipped up to enable compact packing.

Shoe innovations to hit the Springwise virtual pages last year included upcycled shoes, biodegradable shoes and modular shoes. Our most recent footwear spotting is the Radler Trail Camp shoe by Timberland, that can folded in half and zipped up to enable compact packing. Although foldable, the Radler Trail Camp shoe is designed to be sturdy enough for hiking or for street wear. The upper part of the shoe is made with a durable water repellent ripstop fabric and comes with removable fleece-lined insoles for warmth and comfort. Soles made with 42 percent recycled rubber lug boost the shoes’ green credentials and aid traction. The shoe can be folded in half and secured by a zip, before being packed in a compact space or attached to the exterior of a backpack. The shoes are priced at USD 65 and come in a range of colours.
