3D printable accessories for customized electric bikes

ETT Industries have introduced two new bikes that can be customized with 3D printed elements, and the designs are available for free online.

One of the appeals of bikes is the ability to easily customize them, choosing different elements that suit the rider’s individual needs and aesthetic tastes, be it the handlebars, the seat or the wheels. Until now that same freedom hasn’t been available in the growing e-bike and electric scooter industry, but London-based ETT Industries have just introduced two new products that can be customized with 3D printed elements, and the designs are available for free online.

The Trayser electric bicycle and Raker electric scooter both come with a number of add-ons, and the designs of which can be downloaded from the company’s site then 3D printed by the customer. The parts available include a front brake clip, rear mudguard, and mudguard bracket for the Trayser; and a front brake clip, rear motor cable clip parts, cup holder and iPhone mount is available for the Raker. The company plan to expand the accessories available, as well as add replacement parts so that riders can fix their bikes easily for free.

The Trayser is currently available to pre-order for GBP 1,700, while the Raker costs GBP 2,700. What other expensive purchases could be made more appealing through 3D printable extras?
