The company’s algorithm provides personalised advice and suggestions based on customer details, preferences and goals
Spotted: Mumbai-based Kuvera is a completely free-to-use online financial management platform. The company provides a range of services, from investment advice and savings support, to bespoke recommendations and family financial planning. Customers set personal financial goals, such as saving to buy a home, paying for a child’s education or achieving a comfortable retirement, and Kuvera provides appropriate investment advice.
The company earns its income from B2B services, which allows all mutual fund investment advice and general financial planning to remain free of charge. As well as not giving or taking any commissions on sales or recommendations, Kuvera makes it easy for customers to close an account. No fees are charged, and individuals simply choose to deactivate their account. When that occurs, the company permanently archives all associated data.
Having already experienced dramatic growth, much of which came from word-of-mouth recommendations, the start-up is planning to expand its offering to include lending and insurance products. The release is planned for late 2020, and further development plans include strengthening its advisory algorithm, as the company’s customer base widens and diversifies.
