The long-running Australian kids TV series Hi-5 has opened a pre-school in Singapore to bring its distinctive entertainment based approach to learning.
Singapore is no stranger to innovation in education. Technology plays a significant role in making its schools among the best in the world, as we have seen with this tech-enabled self directed learning initiative. However, July 2016 saw a new education provider enter the Singapore market. Kids TV series Hi-5 has opened the House of Learning pre-school in Singapore.
The show’s early childhood learning program caters to kids aged from 18 months to 6-years-old, based on the popular Australian TV series which they claim has been viewed by up to 10,000,000 children around the world. The pre-school encourages learning through play and discovery, featuring clips, stories and songs from Hi-5, via pre-nursery, nursery and kindergarten programs in English and Mandarin. The video gives a taste of Hi-5’s cheery approach to pre-school education for those who have not yet had reason to watch the show.
