Home seekers offered points based on value of property bought

New Jersey-based Realty Perks is connecting those in the market for a home with local estate agents, offering rewards based on the value of the property.

Real estate platform Iggy’s House has already provided one way to benefit buyers and sellers of properties by encouraging them to remove the middle man. Now, New Jersey-based Realty Perks is connecting those in the market for a home with local estate agents, offering rewards based on the value of the property. Those looking for a new property can sign up to become a member for free and proceed to enter details of the home they are looking for, including area, size and price range. Realty Perks then links members with affiliated estate agents – from national brokerages to boutique agencies. If the members complete a successful purchase of a property through an agent recommended by the site, they receive points for each dollar they spend – the higher the value of their new home, the more points gained. These points can then be exchanged for products from Realty Perks’ online catalog, which range from home appliances to days out in the vicinity of the new property. As well as providing benefits for home buyers, Realty Perks also offers both estate agents and local businesses customer referrals and an incentive for members to use their services and products. Currently available in the US only, is this an idea to replicate in your region?
