In-office manicures last 15 minutes

Offering nail care from its customers' office desks, Manicube seeks to provide quality service within a 15-minute session.

Mobile beauty businesses, such as London-based Return To Glory, have been around for a while now, but with workers’ schedules becoming ever more flexible, timeliness may be an important factor. Offering nail care from its customers’ office desks, New York-based Manicube seeks to provide quality service within a 15-minute session. Those interested in booking a manicure with the startup can register on the site and see if Manicube currently serves their office building. If so, a time can be arranged for the team to come to their desk or conference room for a three-part session – prep, polish, and dry – that lasts no longer than 15 minutes. The booking and payment process is completed online. The company uses products from brand names Chanel, Essie, OPI and Deborah Lippmann and hires high quality manicurists to ensure that, while the process is simple, it is done to a high standard. Manicube offers iPads to entertain those receiving the service or can arrange Manicube Meet-ups, allowing office workers to catch up and get a quick manicure at the same time. For those who have spare time, extra products and services are available, but the Basic Manicure Service is priced at USD 15. Manicube also promises to donate USD 1 per session to help fund microloans for women in developing countries through its charitable affiliate Kiva. Manicube plans to expand outside of New York City in the near future. In the mean time – one to replicate in your neighborhood? Spotted by: Murray Orange
