Health Street's “Who's Your Daddy?” service gives parents and children the chance to find out where their blood ties really lie.
DNA testing has found its way into all kinds of practical applications and services in recent years, including providing dating guidance. Now focusing on what one might call the flip side of that relationship coin, Health Street’s “Who’s Your Daddy?” service gives parents and children the chance to find out where their blood ties really lie. Among the many biological health tests offered by New York-based Health Street is a DNA paternity test, which can be obtained at more than 1,000 clinics across the United States. In addition to those offered in more formal settings, however, Health Street reportedly now offers its paternity tests via a roving van on the streets of New York City as well. Specifically, patrons at the company’s mobile DNA testing truck can now have a simple cheek swab taken in the truck for lab analysis. Pricing starts at USD 299, and a prescription is reportedly required. Results are delivered in a few days. The video below describes the service in more detail: Health Street’s service is not without controversy, as one might imagine.
