Shopkey enables online sellers to send quick links and pictures of products from their online store to customers on social messaging apps.
One of the major pitfalls of shopping online is the limited communication between shopper and seller. Now, a new app for iOS is looking to help out by making it simpler for online merchants to promote their wears and interact with customers.
Shopify, an e-commerce platform based in Canada, is launching Shopkey, an app for iPhone keyboards. To use the keyboard extension app, vendors must first have a store hosted on Shopify. If they do, they can use the Shopkey app to instantly access and search their online store’s inventory from within their phone’s keyboard. This enables entrepreneurs and sellers to share product links and images on the go on a number of social media and messaging apps, from the keyboard on their smartphone.
Shopkey lets vendors send links, paste images into conversations, and sell to customers using messaging apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram and others. The links sent out using the Shopkey keyboard app will direct traffic back to the seller’s online store on Shopify.
How can other online stores make it easier for sellers to talk to customers?
