feedair pulls updates from sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Gmail to be displayed on a small, digital text ticker.
We have already seen efforts designed to compile online updates into a digestible form with BERG’s Little Printer mini newspaper creator, and now we’ve come across another company setting out with a similar aim. feedair pulls updates from sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Gmail to be displayed on a small, digital text ticker. feedair is a small Wi-Fi connected device featuring a 21×7 LED display ticker screen designed to bring users a selection of updates and personal notifications from sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, news providers, and anything with an RSS feed. The device is kept in a fixed position in the home or office and detects when the user has left the vicinity, allowing it to display any updates occurring since it was last looked at. The information streams displayed on the feedair, meanwhile, are controlled through an iPhone or Android app. The feedair will be shipping to the startup’s first customers in March at a cost of USD 50 and is available in 4 different colors. The device is explained in more detail in the clip below: Developers are currently being invited to sign up to the feedair website and pitch in with ideas for future product features.
