New platform hosts user-generated subscription services

Memberly claims to be the first platform to enable individuals and small businesses to build their own customized subscription services.

We’ve covered a wealth of subscription services in the past, but now we’ve come across something that could mean they’ll be even more in the future. Memberly claims to be the first platform to enable individuals and small businesses with no coding skills to quickly build their own customized subscription services. Those hoping to create their own subscription service can use Memberly as an infrastructure to host their business. Currently, companies must request permission to begin using the service free of charge, and once they have been accepted they can proceed to create a virtual showcase for the product or package of their choosing. They then select which payment options to present to their future subscribers. Memberly enables subscription service providers to get in touch with subscribers on an individual or mass basis, and will manage members’ emails, questions and order histories. The Memberly service also includes a streamlined checkout with integrated billing and payment for subscribers. Meanwhile, auto-generated labels and packing slips can also be generated for providers, to ease the shipping process free of charge. Started by parent company Disrupto — a digital product development company based in New York — Memberly states that the main benefit for subscription service providers is that the platform frees them up from technical complexities — allowing them to better focus on their area of expertise. As subscription services continue to grow in popularity, the launch of Memberly means there is now no reason not to create your own, or incorporate a subscription service element into a pre-existing business model.
