New parents Josie and Ben designed the Born to Fly Baby carry-on with integrated stroller to solve the tricky travel situations between check-in and landing.
Frustrated by juggling bags and their baby after checking the stroller prior to a flight, Australian parents Josie and Ben created the Born to Fly Baby carry-on. Meeting international size and weight standards, the carry-on includes an integrated stroller that adds only one kilogram to the overall weight of the suitcase. The stroller can be reclined for newborns and popped forward for toddlers.
Additional features include removable seat liners for cleaning, a dirty laundry bag for the inevitable messes and travel USB charger. The seat itself can also be taken out and used as a secure, stand-alone baby seat. Born to Fly Baby recently launched a Kickstarter campaign and is expected to retail for AUD 599. Delivery of first orders is planned for May 2017.
Travelling with babies is difficult, and so much of the technology invested in making flying easier and quicker has focused on developments like smart luggage and robotic check-in. What other aspects of family travel could use a smart upgrade?
