Smarter, cheaper industrial air monitoring

A new air quality monitoring system aims to make it easier and cheaper for businesses to collect and analyse real-time data on a wide range of industrial pollutants

Spotted: Oizom, a smart air quality monitoring solutions company based in India, has just released an industrial air quality monitoring device designed to target specific pollutants. The AQBot is compact and lightweight, and can provide real-time data for more than 14 different pollutants, allowing factories to take quick action to mitigate negative effects.

Traditional air monitoring stations depend on a handful of data collection locations to represent the general air quality of an entire city. This is not enough for industry, which is required to meet standard for a wide variety of pollutants. In fact, air pollution can vary significantly between two locations just a few meters apart. This means that even over a relatively small area, it is important to take accurate measurements.

The AQBot is durable and portable and allows continuous monitoring and real-time data on 14 different pollutants, including Total Volatile Organic Compounds, Ammonia (NH3), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Methane (CH4), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Formaldehyde (CH2O), Particulate Matter, noise and more. It is compact and lightweight enough to be installed on any wall, pole, or structure. On-board software makes it easy for users to access and analyse the data, configure the network and sensors, and create reports.

Discussing AQBot’s advantges, Oizom CEO Mr Vyas emphasised that, “Unlike most other air quality monitoring solutions, Oizom’s AQBot is communication-agnostic and resolves bottlenecks of existing solutions with greater efficiency.
