TranspaRENT aims to bring more transparency to the rental industry by acting as a middleman between landlords and tenants.
There are multiple hurdles for today’s renters — huge demand means that properties are snapped up fast and there is a lot of paperwork with each new application. On top of that there are plenty of fraudsters looking to capitalize on the desperation of Generation Rent. Now, TranspaRENT aims to bring more transparency to the rental industry by acting as a reliable middleman between landlord and tenant, while also streamlining the process.
To begin, renters create a TranspaRENT profile. If they include their background and credit checks immediately, they will be placed ahead of the other applicants. Then, realtors and landlords can view the profiles of applicants. Once an offer has been accepted, the tenant pays their deposit into the startup’s escrow service, where it remains safely until all the paperwork has gone through, protecting the renter from scams or fraud.
TranspaRENT will soon be launching a Beta service. How else could the rental process be improved?
