Wearable air purifier quiet, effective and long-lasting

The air purifier sits around a wearer’s neck and works for up to 32 hours on one charge, providing a constant, high quality, no-sound cleaning process.

Looking like a sleek pair of headphones, the Airvida wearable air purifier comes in three different colors (black, white and pink), is ergonomically designed to comfortably fit around a wearer’s neck and weighs only 70 grams. Powered by a micro-USB charge, the device provides a higher concentration of healthy negative ions than is naturally produced by forests.

The ions attract and attach to airborne pollutants, from the smallest pieces of dust to large, seasonal particles such as pollen, making them heavy enough to fall to the ground, away from the wearer. Perfect for Spring time allergy or hay fever sufferers, the filter is designed to be strong enough to work in almost all indoor environments, including around smokers and in crowded spaces such as public transport. The filter needs to be cleaned occasionally to get rid of any accumulation of pollution.

As urbanization continues, air quality remains a high priority concern for most cities around the world. Many solutions focus on wearables or personal products, such as smart scarves for cyclists that sends alerts via an app and new air filters for home doors and windows. How can sustainability projects work more closely with the most pollution-producing industries?
