Wifi-less tablet device for very young kids
Education
The Vinci Tab is an Android tablet with 7-inch touchscreen and a raft of features to keep kids aged 4 and under safe and entertained.
There’s long been debate over the suitability of computer technologies for very young children, but now that tablets have arrived California-based Rullingnet is betting on a new line of high-tech educational products designed with tykes in mind. At the core of those offerings is the Vinci Tab, an Android tablet with 7-inch touchscreen and a raft of features to keep kids aged 4 and under safe and entertained.
Surrounding the Vinci Tab on all sides is a protective, soft-cornered handle made from non-toxic, medical-grade materials. No wifi functionality is included so as to minimize emissions, and a wide range of age-specific educational applications are available. Games, story books and music videos are specifically designed for fun, parent-guided and interactive education.
With prices starting at USD 389, the Vinci Tab is available both online and through retailers including Amazon.com. A subscription to compatible kid-friendly apps starts at USD 49 per year. Currently, however, the device is available only within the United States. One to partner with for distribution in other parts of the world — or to get involved with on the app development end?
