The Parrot Disco FPV drone features a headset with a smartphone port that enables users to see the drone flight in first person view via an app.
We’ve seen how consumer drone use continues to grow — there’s even a peer-to-peer drone rental service — and a new drone is offering immersive experiences for users.
The Parrot Disco FPV is so-called due to a headset (Parrot Cockpitglasses) that enables users to experience the drone flight in first person view (FPV). The connected drones run through Free Flight Pro app via wifi, so that users can insert their smartphone into the headset and see where the drone is headed via the integrated forward-facing camera, and save and upload flight videos to YouTube. The aerodynamic drones fly more like aircraft than hovering drones, reaching speeds of up to 49.71mph. The Parrot Disco FPV is available now for GBP 1149.99.
Could an FPV drone flight be combined with augmented reality software for immersive drone gaming experiences?
