Beauty brand encourages customers to break boundaries and wear their transparent sheet mask while running errands.
The beauty industry has boomed into a multi-dollar machine in recent years. Social media influencers have brought obscure beauty products to the forefront of people’s attentions so there are more options. While key high street brands have continued to flourish, more alternative beauty offerings have also blossomed. Ethical beauty has become more on trend, with even fruit waste being turned into products proving popular.
Now, Natural Korean beauty brand Glow Recipe hopes to break boundaries with their new skin sheet mask. They hope the product will encourage consumers to continue their skincare routines in public by promoting their experiences on social media. The product consists of a translucent cloth that works much like a normal face mask. The cloth is saturated with product and placed on the face to replenish skin. The mask is additionally advertised as an ‘on-the-go’ product to help even the busiest of users have a moment of self-care in a taxi or supermarket. Moreover, the product is free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, silicones and foaming agents.
Its founders explain, “We know that not all our customers can be shameless with a sheet mask. So we wanted to create a beautiful, selfie-ready invisible sheet mask that provides the effects of ‘glass skin’. This will hopefully spark a movement of sheet masking whenever you need that quick skin-fix, even if you’re en-route to a first date.”
Natural skincare technology is advancing with customers continuously being educated on the importance of high quality ingredients in their products. Will this new translucent design mean it will be suitable for all ‘on-the-go’ lifestyles? How could you use social media to raise awareness about a product or service?
