Free tattoos to cover self harm scars

Apprentice tattooist Whitney Develle has offered to cover up self-harm scars for free to enable sufferers to put their past behind them.

It is estimated that 13 percent of young people between the age of 11 and 16 self-harm. The scars of which can often prove shameful or embarrassing later in life. Now a tattoo apprentice in Brisbane, Australia has offered to cover up self-harm scars with beautiful designs, to enable sufferers to put their past behind them.

Whitney Develle, who is training as a tattooist, posted her offer of free tattoos on social media and received an overwhelmingly positive response. The scheme will enable Develle to practice her craft on 50 self-harm victims. After the first 50 pieces, people wanting scar cover-ups will receive a discounted rate on their tattoos.
